No one is looking up at the camera in your magazine?! All they all ashamed of something?
This is an actual problem though. How can an audience identify with people who can't look them in the eye?
The standard of this page is not good enough for you and your ability. The masthead is good and you clearly spent time on that while other elements of the page were completely neglected. Cover lines look simplistic as they are all the same font, size and two colours. There needs to be variety.
There is also a lot of space that is going unused in here.
